Description

Hello ! As spiders are not insects, I had to put it under Animals. This one was a huge one living in the bathroom of the vacation house last summer all 10 days we were on a vacation. Well then we had no flies :) Thank you very much for your kind comments to yesterdays post. Special warm thanks to those who added it to their favorites. Have a great weekend. We have nice sunny but cold weather today.

Fantastic macro. Those markings are so interesting. From the looks of this guy, he has enjoyed those flies very much. :)))

LOL. I am not sure I could have shared a room with him! Or if I did as big as he is I would have made him pay half the charge.

Outstanding macro. I always carefully relocate spiders in the house to a more comfortable spot outside. I never kill them but I sure don't live with them. You are brave. :-)

great comments! No, I don't kill spiders either, I read them verbal threats, plead, beg & call in a team of lawyers. Living in the closet I might handle—but the bathroom? I'd move out! Actually spiders are revered by of native cultures & considered symbols of great wisdom. (Your spider just looked up—yeah, I'm talkin' about you, you little arachnid!) The lower torso of this one has a wonderful pattern and the upper portion looks like fine glass. You always show us insects & arachnids for their beauty and other worldly sheen. Still, I appreciate Lynell getting it to pay rent! (Hell, I'd ask it to weave me a blanket! Do that, it can live in my living room and eat all the flies it wants!) Another fine creature-macro from you, your eye is always making the small things look big!
