Description
My wife Annie gave me this rose for Valentine's day.
She works for the Boys and Girls Club and spends all of her time with very young children. All of whom love her intensely. She fits right in with them because she is only four foot nine and has the heart and spirit of a child herself. She is always bringing me hand crafted gifts which she makes in the art class she teaches. Hand made cards, painted rocks etc. These are gifts most people would dismiss as frivolous or "dumb" but to me they are priceless treasures. Along with this beautiful rose she gave me a card that was simply a heart cut out of construction paper. On it she wrote "100 hearts would be too few to carry all the love I have 4 you". Then she painstakingly hand drew 100 hearts all over the front. I don't know about you but to me, that speaks from a place deeper and far more profound than any mass produced card could ever come near!
So this is for Annie. My tiny person with the giant heart. I don't deserve her but I love her with all my soul!
