I want to thank everyone for their kind words and fav's on last image. They touched me deeply. Thank you. :o)
If you down to the great pond and find the old Chinese courtyard, at the stroke of midnight something magical happens. Yep, sure does. You will see an eerie red glow coming from inside the walls. Honest, would I make this up, well I haven't actually seen it for myself mind you, but so I have been told. :o)
Through the reddish pink mist you will see Hortensia Heartenfelt sending out Valentines via the cardinals. Every year from January first to February thirteenth Hortensia works hard getting the Valentine's ready for the big day. No one knows exactly how she does makes them. All Hortensia will say with a smile, "It's all in the little finger." But everyone gets a shiny gold or red or pink Valentine left on their windowsill.
So at the first light of morning if you get up early and very lucky and go to your window and look, you too will probably find one of her lovely Valentine's waiting for you. Oh... I forgot to tell you one thing, it said, that if you don't believe in the magic of the day, you won't see it, it will be there, but you won't be able to see or touch it and it will soon disappear forever or at least this year anyway. Only if you believe in the magic will it appear glinting in the early morning light.
Well, heck, if you don't want to believe in Hortensia Heartenfelt's magic, pig out on some chocolate whiffels. Wishing everyone a safe and HAPPY VALENTINE"S DAY! :o)

A beautiful Hortensia indeed! Saw lots of those at the florist this week, going into Valentino bouquets. Love the reds!

Well, I believe in Hortensia's magic, and I'm pigging out on chocolate whiffles anyway. So there. I saw a beautiful pink Valentine's on my kitchen window sill this mornng just as the sun was peaking over the roof tops, but I had to fight the squirrels for it. Well, I didn't actually fight with the squirrels for it, I bribed them with some peanuts, and they gladly let go of it. You've relayed the magical goings on down by the pond to us in such a wonderful and luscious way!

I guess I'll have to pig out on chocolate lol I like reading the story first, then be surprised by the image that goes with it :) Looks wonderful, as always :) I especially like the hearts, they look real and yummy. I'll check on my window sill next year, I believe but since I didn't know, I didn't look this year ;)
