Description
Now this I really busted my butt on. I built it in My spare time over the period of a Year. (more or less) The trickiest parts for me were the Nose cone and the Cockpit. getting the frame to blend smoothly into the body was a real bear for me to figure out how to do. I'm mostly happy with it, but there are still a few things I may change before I call it "finished" I built this by "eye" so the dimensions may not be exact spec. I will post a Scene with the X-wing soon.
Built Completly in Raydream Studio 5.5 on a G4

This is really Really really cool.. But R2D2 seems to be a bit too sad.. er.. blue.. How many Polys? Looks almost like high-quality low-poly...

Nice job on the textures...very clean...looks almost like a high qual video game. Agree, R2 stands out somewhat. Is this all coinciding with Star Wars episode 2 on purpose? Check out my R2 pick in my gallery.

Thirteener, Thank You! psychodan, Thanks for the feedback! R2 is definitly one of those "things" that I may change. all the work was put into the ship so he just kind of got ignored. :) and to answer your question: the X-wing consists of 185 objects and 172700 polys! mf193, I thank you also for the kind comments. posting the X-wing didn't have anything to do with Episode II, after staring at it as long as I have, my objectivity was totally gone. I just needed some feedback on it. Keep it coming I need all the help I can get! Thanks all!
