Description

I've been trying to capture one of these birds for sometime, they are so fast moving, quite often before I can focus they are gone, this time I got lucky.

I do a lot of wildlife art and have worked on many species of birds. I always have to have reference photos at hand and in all the birds I've worked on, I have never seen a tail so erect! This is just astonishing! The colors of this wren also are fabulous and I know how difficult small birds are to capture. They flit around and drive me crazy. I have files full of blurred slashes or empty perches to show for my efforts. This is really a magnificent wildlife capture.

What an astonishing bird!!! I had to look in up on Wiki to see that it is from Australia, right? Amazing coloring, and like MrsLubner said, a most impressive stance with that erect tail! Congrats on getting such a fine shot, he is a beauty!!
