Cupid had always hated it when Valentine's Day was on a Saturday. That meant it came right after a Friday the 13th, and in only another month, there was yet another Friday the 13th lurking. Still, he tried to not let it get to him. Valentine's Day was his and there was a lot to get done. But recently, things changed. After a failed assassination attempt, which is still under investigation, Cupid became very paranoid. Understandable, perhaps, but it threatened to ruin the holiday this time around. But after talking with a few of the other Holiday Overseers, he decided to ditch the cherubic body and get an adult one instead. He also went out and bought a suit or armor to protect him as he made his rounds. He was going to be a lot busier on Valentine's Day than any other day and he couldn't be distracted by would be killers - and he refused to let someone fill in for him, even once. At the same time, he put away the bow and started practicing with a combat shotgun, loaded with aphrodesiac ammunition. All set to go out and kick some ass. Er, spread some love. Maybe both, depending on how the investigation goes. ---- Well, the day's almost over, but I got this rendered in time. I had some other stuff in mind, but this is the only one I thought I'd be able to finish in time. I wanted to do a lot more with the textures, but I should've started on them a lot sooner than I did. So, I had to settle for something relatively quick and didn't get everything done. The shotgun and the suit under the armor are using Major Cache's default textures; I hadn't gotten to them yet. And I hadn't finished the bump maps either. Still, I think it worked out okay. Maybe next time.
