Description

Switzerland, Berner Oberland, Jungfrau (Virgin) Region The next day we had to get up early to get the train to the Jungfraujoch, about 3500 m high. It is called the Top of Europe. You only can reach it by train and the tickets are very expensive. But one can understand why when you riding with it. Can you imagine that they build the railways and tunnels for it across and through the Eiger mountain and when you are through you have a stunning view over the eternity ice ocean. Have a relaxed sunday and load the batteries for the next week! ;o)

Love to see those crevices and seracs of old ice sliding down only so slowly we cannot perceive that! Jungfraujoch most certainly offers a welcome introduction to the glacial world of Switzerland, and fortunately it's easy reachable (but mind the thin air at 3,572 m / 11,890 ft! :)

Sossy, I'm sitting here in awe. Truely amazing. The swirls and dips of this pass give it the look of whipped cream. It's beautiful, and soooooooooo cold looking. Truely you've been fortunate to have been here!!
