Description

A friend of mine used to go to the Caribbean fairly regularly. She brought me back a bit of the beach. This glass jar is only about four or five inches tall, so there's plenty of sand left on the islands down there! Another from my flashlight session the other night. This is NOT painting with light, btw. I just turned on the flashlight and used it as a light source. .......... Edit note: Oops! I forgot! I was going to make a link to the February Photography Challenge. This month it's all about light, and this is one of the images I took in pursuit of new lighting challenges. Check it out and join the FUN!

I love the jar full of the beach :) I really like your photo too, that flashlight technique is quite clever.

Beautiful result using simple flashlight illumination. I am looking for a suitable subject and I will post a flashlight shot too. Your subject is neat because of the glass involved and the special contents recalling the thoughtful gift of a friend. Done to a "T" :)

sigh Even a tiny bit of a beach makes me yearn for those sunny days, lying the sun, baking my brains out. Those were the days. I'm a little smarter now. Beautiful!!!

This turned out really well. I have used flashlights before and the light as been too strong. You seem to have gotten that sultry beach feeling here.

Great results Tara, I bought a little maglight flashlite today, and will do some experiments tonight when I get home, that is if Mellisa the secretary can stop playing with it and wearing the batteries out LOL!
