Description

My friend of almost 14 years. Not the greatest picture but the greatest dog anyone could have. Update: For those kind folk who commented and enquired, it's sand on her nose. She can no longer walk far, so the beach and soft sand is best for her now. As an aside, I had her at 7 weeks old. The farmer was going to shoot her, 'cos she was the 13th in the litter and considered the runt. Just shows how wrong some can be huh! And while her body might suffer from arthritis, her brain is as sharp as it ever was. She is, without doubt, the love of my life, which, by the way, she saved 10 years ago.

What a beautiful loving portrait of an elderly dog. I like how you focused on her face. My rescued dog is also about 14 and her owner also almost shot her--though when she was too old to have pups. Long live dogs. They are so special.
