Description

Again my fears have been realized in respect to vending for 3D. I have made only one sale on my Gaussblade product since it became available (much thanx to Magnus_073) but alas it does not seem to be a viable product in the eyes of many. As I remember it went thru no less then 15 re-builds before I was even able to texture it, let alone the time that the textures took. Overall I strived to make a superior product for 3D art, nothing less then perfection on it. I took me almost 6 months to bring to market, and that was dealing with pain in my hands and arms maxing out on Ibuprofen daily. This is not a plea to guilt you into buying it, I wont do that, This is a final goodbye to my products here at Rosity, DDU, and CP. At the end of this month I will be asking all these places to remove my products from the shelves. Clearly, I am not cut out to be a vendor and can't produce items that people will buy. My stuff is far too unique for this market. Thanx to all who may have looked at my products. Sincerely Lord Kainus Darkwolf a failed vendor

Sorry to hear this. I've seen your work and I'm impressed by it, however, right now, my fae have no use for the Gaussblade, much as it would probably help in any battles with the UnSeelie Court or other foes. However!!! You do put out some of the greatest images, I've ever seen and I do hope that you will continue to do so! Mike

great render. I have been a vendor and it never made me much money, I think the best approach is to create your own content for your own needs on your own terms and if it seems you have made something others would value the put it out there then go for it but this game will not give you decent payback for hours worked (unless your work has the magic "X" factor.

Excellent image, very compelling. With the state of the Worlds Economies right now I would imagine all 3d content Vendors are feeling a Bite when it comes to moving anything. Peace

Beautiful and very emotional image. I'm sorry your products are not selling as you hoped. Maybe if you left them for a little longer, they would. Now is really not a good time to try and break in as a vendor.

I am sorry to hear that Lenn and would beg you not to give up but to try to find what people are looking for. Sometimes finding out what people want most is the way as you are very talented and can create almost anything

You are ahead of the times with your creations, Len, don't lose heart. They are indeed unique and it always takes a while before people see that. Keep creating, if only for yourself at this time. HUGS babe.

ANTONIO

It is a shame that you aren't getting sales. But as others have said, leave it in the store for a little bit longer and advertise. Use it as much as possible in scenes. Give it as a gift to some of your friends to use who do scenes that would do it justice. Believe it or not people see images and see a product that they didn't know about and say, "wow, that's exactly what I need to make my image pop!" I seen things I didn't even know were available and bought them. People unfortunately don't know and sadly, I think don't care, how long it took or what goes into making a product or do a lovely image. And remember, it's belt tightening time and people aren't buying as much as they were. Len, don't pull your products. Btw, this is an extraordinary beautiful image! :o)

I've pretty much talked myself out of attempting any marketplace for the same fears so I can easily understand what you're saying. Very well done image, too bad it had to be made for this though.

superb work, both the image and the product, it is a real shame that you cannot sell your product. it seems that this is the nature of this site, so much good stuff on offer, both to view as images and to purchase, that the really desrving products, like yours, get missed. I hope you can find a way to keep your images alive for us to share, even if it means just using your products for yourself.

I'm really sorry this happened to you my friend...but I can relate because my products weren't really viable, either....but that doesn't make them any less worthwhile....so do the work for yourself and don't worry about the masses :-)

Oh please don't be so hard on yourself! Your products are WONDERFUL and creative! If I had the money to do so I assure you I would be buying them. I have a few of your items and have had a blast with using them. You put a lot of thought into your creations and your attention to detail is something to genuinely be admired. Yours are some of the most unique and distintive weapons that I've seen. I'm sure it's not easy (or even cheap) to get into the marketplace of these sites, but, speaking as a long time admirer of your work, I sincerely hope you reconsider offering your work to your fellow artists. You are a visionary and its a shame that more people can't see that. As to your image....it's positively heartbreaking. And I mean that, I am literally in tears as I write this. lots of hugs from an artist who will always be a fan
