Morning all :o)
I was out taking shots last night for the camera club`s monthly competition which is also being considered for a charity calendar next year .This shot is`nt going in as an entry ,I just liked the look of it :o)
I`m on my 3rd day now smokeless ,feeling a little irritable but doing fine :o)..Thanks for taking a look and take care .

See now this is were we differ, I would have took my shots then sat down and rolled a fag to review the results LOL!...Nice nightshot mate, I like the title too.

The image seems slightly out of focus to me and the boat lacks some detail. This is most likely due to the 1/3 shutter speed and 1.8 Aperture used. I've have this happen to me many times. If you're not using a tripod, you can compensate by upping the ISO, but as we know higher setting start to introduce some noise. I find keeping my aperture around F8 (even for long exposures) keeps the detail constant in most situations.

Congratulations on your 500th image, my dear! It seems only yesterday that you first showed up here with your big-eyed-fuzzy-thing avatar. (I've forgotten what those little creatures are called! Senior moment - sorry.) I still like the real you much better. :) I like this image very much. The colors are rich and beautiful, and the reflection is excellent!

Great shot good reflection. Here are a couple of tips to make it sharper. Drop the ISO down to 100, Choose f8 - about f11, on that good tripod I know you have it will come out looking even more stunning. Good luck with competition.
