Description
I have one less bird in my yard now, but was fascinated and even honored to be able to observe this juvenile Cooper's Hawk outside my front door last week.
There is a necessary balance of nature between predator and prey. Only the healthiest and strongest survive, and they then reproduce the best of their species.
Thank you very kindly for your recent views, comments, and faves. They are very much appreciated.

Well said! A narrative worthy of Charles Darwin. Stellar clarity, colors and textures in this closeup of the handsome raptor, Maria! Love the breast, neck and shoulder texture on the bird.
