Thank Shiva, thank Krishna, thank Jesus, thank Mohammed, thank Allah, thank every freakin' god in the book!!! And thank you for throwing a bit of enlightenment at people. I find it tragic that the only association most Westerners have with this beautiful symbol is its usage (actually appropriation) by the Nazis. Your presentation here is fabulous. Again, thanks for telling the real story, which you certainly are not going to learn from any historical text or the media, at least not here in America. May Ganesha clear your path, Shiva keep your third eye open, and Kali destroy all of you illusions. Namaste.

this sign should be known to be what it was originally meant for. My first reaction to it was negative cuz of the disfigured symbol the Nazis made it and my being Jewish. But you're right, it was originally a good sign and you bring attention to that and I thank you. Nice work.

I find it interesting how symbols get "stygmatized" by various groups and peoples. Being from the south, I laugh at the example of the so called Confederate Flag. 1st of all, it is not a confederate "National" flag but a battle flag. The first "National" flag looks so much like the Star Spangled Banner that it became confusing on the battlefield. The flag was used briefly by the KKK after the war as a Symmbol of Southern rights but the KKK was disbanded due to the rise of racism. Then the KKK came back into power during the depression (can anyone say $$$$) and was used as a symbol of racism. No one remembers that it's original purpose was to make sure Southern Troops didn't fire at Southern Troops.

It took me a good long time to understand that the average human being didn't think that the swastika was the turkish star, but the nazi symbol. I used to associate it directly with the nazis, until I started to get into "weird" religions (a secondary interest of mine) and I somehow figured that everyone else understood the irony in it as well as I did. Big mistake. Thank you for restoring people's faith in this beautiful symbol.
