Description
The Normandie-Niemen squadron (Russian: Нормандия-Неман) was a fighter squadron of the French Air Force. It served on the Eastern Front of the European Theatre of World War II with the 1st Air Army. The regiment is notable for being the only air combat unit from an Allied western European country to participate on the Eastern Front during World War II.
The Yak came from Boroda. Freebee that has to be one of the best Aircraft I have seen in 3d. Well done, dude.

Stunning picture, my friend. Love the colour work on it! One thing though, though not with the picture, the abovewas not the ONLY alliedcombat unit to serve in Russia. The 151 Wing, RAF, at least 3 Squadrons served there. Apart from this, Top work. Rob.

Hey Rob point taken. One can not forget the boys up in Murmansk. 151 did a marvelous job in Russia, however it only stayed for a short time. The French fought on the Eastern Front from 43 to 45. Stalin gave them their Yaks to take back to France after the war was over, for their service in Russia. Don't you just love this stuff. Thanks for the comments to all.
