Description

AloooooooooHa! Got up at 4 am Sun. morning, farted around the house, then headed to the beach to catch the sunrise. Left the house at 5:30 am and a quarter of the way there realized that the sun doesn't rise for another hour and a half....DOH! I was 10 min. from home so I turned around and headed home for another hour. A little anxious I think~ I headed for a spot I hadn't shot before because it's very rocky and slippery...bad combination when walking around with the camera on a tripod. But I had my nimble feet on this morning and all went well. I set up and waited for the day to reveal itself..this image can't even capture the beauty that was displayed that morning...you really had to be there...I'm not sure what type of mangrove trees these are but you don't see them much around this island. Thanks for poppin' in for a look...Much Aloha to all~

Fabulous image though the tone mapping would not be my choice here, but thats just me! For me your work never needs it. And have always rated it among the best here! Be interesting to see the straight version

Stunning image, even if it doesn't show the expansive beauty that you saw in that 'you had to be there' moment, but still an absolutely gorgeous sunrise, and thanks for sharing it with us!

I like the beams coming through the clouds in the distance very much. Overall a nicely composed piece of landscaping, if i may say though (purely from a personal point of view) i think the tone mapping is a bit overdone and oversaturated. Still a great shot though !

I don't even think I can find the right words to fit this absolutely beautiful sunrise. Great Job. And thanks for reminding me that even when everything in life can be chaotic there are always moments, that if you stop and look long enough, that bring a complete and utter peace to one's soul.
