Description

As always V4 and the Millennium dragons were posed in DAZ|Studio and then I imported the background which I had created in Bryce. The ship model is a freebie by JedSwindells here at Renderosity. The 'Elven Strapped' outfit on V4 is by Aery_Soul. Postwork in Photoshop included the addition of the mist and some fiddling with the lighting. I applied the 'Angled Strokes' filter for this one as a lot of the dragon images I've been looking at recently have had a painted look to them and I quite like the effect. Further postwork included me trying out a different style of presentation ... all manual work and quite time consuming but at least it's something a bit different. Enjoy ... Tony.

Very well done Tony...I like the skewed camera angle and the overall composition, figure is well posed, and the finishing effect with the framing is a very nice touch!

Nice work! I like what you did with this one. Here's another "painted" look to try out, I read it in a magazine a wile ago: copy the image into a second layer, go to "filters/sketch/find edges" and then either change the transparency of the new layer, or try changing the layer's mode from normal to overlay or any of the others, depending upon the results. I've always been amazed by the results, and it often does better than the "artistic" filters. Anyway, this is an excellently composed scene, big epic scale and awesome colors.
