Description

The wind was blowing hard that day out of the north and blew his crest nearly over his head! The redbird raises his crest to convey emotion and send signals to other birds, but never this high. Thanks very much for your views and comments.

LOL! This little critter looks so much like an angry troll! But much more attractive. Another superlative capture of a pretty bird, this one defiantly braving the cold winds. Really like the clarity, bright colors, and that tuft of feathers around its head.

Oh, these guys are so much fun! Wonderful shot, you are so amazing at these bird portraits! When I lived in Virginia we had cardinals, and I used to have long whistling "conversations" with them; they're quite gregarious!
