He was stationed with the Air Force in Japan when, one beautiful spring day in Tokyo, he encountered the lovely Mariko in a little tea shop. The moment he laid eyes on her, he was smitten with her ethereal beauty and gentle, serene soul. They realized they were slowly becoming more than just friends and one afternoon met in a dojo to declare their love for each other.... "Back home in America", he said, "we show our love by giving our beloved a rose, so I am giving you this as a token of my devotion to you." She smiled at him shyly and whispered, "See this glass ball with our reflections in it? It shows that my love mirrors yours." As they gazed into each other's eyes, they knew that they had found true love.....
