Description
I've been looking for something colorful to "paint with light" for the last three days.
This morning I did a little grocery shopping and knew I hit the jackpot when I got to the fruits and vegetables section.
Zoom for best view...no postwork...this is straight from the camera.
Hope my arrangement doesn't appear too contrived:-)

I'm with Andrea about the plate. Try shooting those glass pieces you've been thinking about against a neutral, dark background with this technique. (Just a suggestion - I haven't ever tried it, and it might not work!) This is fantastic! Your choice of colorful fruits for this work is just right. Nicely done! Ain't experimentation grand?

beautiful arrangement, and beautiful lighting. (You & Tara with flashlights, you've really done beautiful work...) Does the arrangement look contrived? No! Painters worked for days to get the right arrangement: It wasn't to contrive the fruits but to bring out the 'dialogue' between them. This is beautiful. And the lighting is just right with these vivid fruits because their natural glow doesn't take over the shot, but rather speaks subtly through the dark. And am I the only one who thinks that plate is ceramic? (Do I need glasses?) In any case, it's a great plate & I'll be happy to see a shot of it too...beautiful shot, and now I'm hungry...
