Description
Been quite a while and a strange trip it has been. Survived two rounds of layoffs which effectively cut the company in half. Paula, the significant other, survived the Boeing layoffs fortunately, but the Proj Mgrs took a beating.
Been working on remodeling the house and hope to have the sliding bookcases hiding the passageway done on one end this weekend.
We were back in Indiana for the parents 50th last weekend; Got a call that Dad had a heart attack at 4AM Indiana time this morning.
He will be okay. He had signs and they had just gotten him into the Emergency room when it hit so he had hot nurses swarming all over him in an instant.
Anyway enough whining from me (GRIN).
Worldship, Pangea class WIP process. Part of the long time is I'm building a glass dome from scratch.
Modeled in a mix of DOGA L3, Inspire 3D Modeler and using some datakit parts from Larry Rosenthal's Starbase C3.

Cool ship and concept....as a WIP I'm sure you know the ship surfaces could use some textures or paterns....keep on man...this is cool!

This is an excellent looking space craft. Great job of modeling, and congratulations for you and the missus for surviving the job cuts. Best of luck.

Thx for the comments... Oh yeah, I've started texturing. One of the things about using DOGA and exporting to DXF, it creates three or four body surfaces with a none too apparent name attached (for example- BodyM_worldshipv5 where object name is the actual name you applied in DOGA). So I've spent most of yesterday working through the surfaces, renaming them in Inspire 3d and figuring which ones to keep unique and which to change just to the objectname. Today, I need to get the taxes done, so I'll probably post the alpha texture map I'm looking at for now. Other update. Dad is doing fine. His vitals are good and he was griping about how rubbery his chicken dinner was (a good sign). He's sitting up and they plan on starting to get him walking this evening.
