My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Slats wonderful! Nice warm colors and light and shadow effects in this foto, captured within the high walls of the home improvement center.

I can't tell you how familiar this sight is. How many hours have I stood and stared and picked through lengths and widths until I was cross-eyed. Great shot.

Very cool shot. The dividers remind me of ends of wire coat hangers. Lighting looks very natural. Well done.

Really nice work Tara. There really are different lengths here, and though you may not have gotten the full-view you wanted, the shot sings with all kinds of rhythms & lines. Fine shadows too. This series of store shots is one of the things photography is so wonderful at: bringing the passed-over into view. You've shown many rhythms & plays of light in these; real photographic seeing. I really enjoyed these.

Wonderful lines and angles; I've always loved building supply stores, maybe it was the art aspect subliminally speaking to me? Great work!
