Rendering note: time render: 58 mins Light: 1 Sun, HDRI, Ambient Occlusion IOR for the glass material: 1.80 This is STILL a Work in Progress... needs some little work: fix ivy's shadows, change Point of View, fix deep of field... I absolutely love the IOR settings you chose for the pears and apples. You've gotten a wonderful effect, and they really look like glass! Very nicely done. You're right about the ivy shadows. It looks like your actual form is a plane, with an ivy texture put on it (with transparent edges around the ivy) and what the light is using for the shadow is the plane, not the shape of the ivy. Have you tried making an ivy shape instead of a plane? I love the texture you've used for the ground plane, and the problem with the dof isn't you - it's the texture. The image itself appears to be a bit blurry in front, but more clear in the back. Perhaps if you turned it? It's hard to tell, just from the render, but it's a thought ... just something to try. Your idea and composition and modeling is spectacular! I love this piece, and I hope you'll continue to work on it, tweaking the things that bug you. The glass fruit and ivy combination is wonderful!
