Dear friends here at RR, all my last pics here had one theme: The beauty of nature and the countless figures and forms of life. Talking about nature and science is talking about the great scientists, too; names as Alexander of Humboldt, Alfred Wegener, Roald Amundsen and Charles Darwin (and many, many others), who changed our world from medevial "believing" to modern scientific "knowledge" This here is a 200-years aniversary tribute to Charles Darwin, the greatest nature scientist of the U.K., who was born at 12th February 1809, 200 years ago.... With his basic nature- scientific book "On the origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection (1859)" was Charles Darwin the founder of the modern evolutionary theory. Hope you like this pic.
