Cheater, this is a photo! Great work, it's good to see an artist of the month who actually deserves the title. This is an image I really think is a benchmark to measure off, well done. I hope that I will one day reach such a level.

Jesus Christ, i could graze myself on those textures.

I'd love to know how you create your textures. I know that you utilize photographs, but more specifically, how do you get textures that don't repeat themselves? Do you use procedurals, a combination of things?
nitro115
Thank you all! Dragontales: I do not use procedurals for Max, because (I think) only DarkTree makes them and they're not compatible with finalRender. I make HUGE texture maps, so they will not repeat :-) Also, I layer a few onto each other in in the medit.

Very, very nice series. Lighting, texturing and modeling are all superb!

If only someday this kind of stuff could be used in a game with this much quality. Keep up the good work :D

I can't believe how fantastic your renderings are. Totally top notch. If you are not working professionally in this, you should be. So about the wall texture, you made an immense bitmap image and then did you use a composit material to make the brick look underneath? Whatever you did, a tut would be fantastic, but better than that, just keep on cranking out these works.!!
