Description

When I started working on this image it was meant to be a piece about jealousy but, while working on it it grew more and more in the direction of 'being appalled'. Just like it happens to be in small villages and not only in small villages. It's still a long way to go until our love will be cherished or at least tolerated. And sadly in my experience its women who are appaled. ***** Render time about 10 hours with no postwork except a minor light adjustment and signature. ***** Thank you for having a look!

Maybe it's just the title, but I see more jealousy on the girl in the back than appalled... I would being looking for a tinge of anger in appalled. No, I think that she is just jealous that these two girls have what she really wants and has not yet had the courage to accept within herself... JMHO.

I'm with brewgirlca in that I see that expression showing more jealousy than disgust. Then again maybe that's what I want or would rather see. Either way it's a great image with excellent attention to detail as always.
