Description

this is an overpass in Mesquite Texas over Interstate 635.it is actually very new in terms of most bridges around Texas.the section started sinking not long after it was built, so they simply put some asphalt to cover the booboo.I was taking the picture of the fog and noticed the bridge Mesquite bridge is falling down, falling down-my fair lady thanks for looking and any comments

Good to know other contries has a problem fixing things too not just here down under. Looks not much of the trouble now, would be a great idea to check on a condition every 6mnths or so to see a different. Btw, nice foggy shot.

Americans are among the shoddiest builders on the planet. Actually, the system is designed that way. Pouring "money" into "repairing" an infrastructure that is already obsolete is also moronic, and just another scam. "FDRism" is Fascism in sheep's clothing, and leads to world war as the final economic solution, just like last time. Incompetence refurbishing incompetence, haha.

Ouch! I'd say to stay off of it... great shot - you should send it to whoever is in charge of such matters... scary!

Now this scares the life out of me to think this is actually one of the newer one's ! Good grief someone needs to do some major repairs before people are hurt

Nice bridge! Remsembles the current state of our country. Instead of getting to the crux of the matter we simply patch it. Much like treating a terminal disease with a bandaid. Nevertheless, it is an excellent capture, Richard!!!!!

Great documentary, Richard. I hope the local authorities get it fixed, before anything bad happens. Saw a highway bridge collapse in Denmark.. thank God there were no cars on it... Nice humor with the London bridge is falling down #;oD From an old song i think.

After the Romans, it looks that we Italians lost the art of building bridges, so once in a while one collapses during a flood or a landslide. I hope that yours will endure the fatigue of carrying the traffic.

Looks like a candidate for repairs--we had one here that had pieces falling off of it (it was built at the beginning of the 20th century, though, and used heavily every day, so it had an excuse. We used to worry that the pigeons would sit on it at the same time that our car was on it;-) Finally this year they closed it and they will completely refit it so chunks will stop falling off onto boaters below! Sometimes our taxes do go to useful things!

Nobody builds things to last any more. This could cause deaths to occur. Bad workmanship.
