Description

Mardi Gras 2009 A holiday in a city of light and life! New Orleans during Mardi Gras - what could say "PARTY!!" more than masked revelers -- bedecked out in the traditional colours of Mardi Gras of Green (Faith), Purple (Justice) and Gold (Power), elaborate floats, tossed doubloons, beads and other party favors. Feather festooned masks, glittering costumes...or ones that are hardly there at all! A feast for all the senses! Not to mention the free flow of seasonal drinks, the sensual, sonorous rhythm of Jazz and Zydeco music. The aromas of spice, Cajun and Creole cooking filling the air with an olfactory overload of pleasure and enjoyment. The only requirement on the agenda -- have fun! No question, here in the States, New Orleans is the KING of the party (well, ever since they banned the big shindig here on the West Coast in San Francisco :-P and, with all due respect, Disneyland's New Orleans's Square just isn't the same). There's still those of us, who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing the thrill of the Mother of all Festivals, in N'awlens....we still celebrate it in our own little ways. Happy Mardi Gras or Fat/Shrove Tuesday! Now time to pack up the beads, feathered and sequined masks, window stick ons and put them away along with the weird looks from the neighbors....at least for another year. ~~~~ Victoria 4.2 - DAZ Brooke 2 - Liquid Rust Amiel Hair - Bobbie25 AK Lilian Bikini - Arki V3 Morphing Face Mask - DAZ Masquerade for Morphing Face Mask - Laurie S Background by me with the aid of free Dangle Glows Brushes from Obsidian Dawn (Obsidiandawn.com) Lighting, post and posework by me
