Description

This was a lot of lighting play in PS to give the old style silky Cinema Curtains hit by coloured lights. It is a memory of the old days, of Saturday mornings with lots of friends. When you got 3 films for your money ( 2 cartoons + main film ). I still love animated films and go see all the new ones, my wife says I will never grow up. Then she points out we are the only adults without our children with us. The kids are 23, 26 and 28 now so that would be wierd! I dont think men do grow up?

I for one am ultimately proud that I never EVER grew up, who wants to be a stuffed shirt or grumpy old man, much more fun to be silly :)...this is a nice work of art, I remember Sat morning pictures too, at our local ABC at the Elephant and castle, the refreshments were cheaper too, remember the cumbersome plastic bottle/cup square thingy of Ki ora orange juice?...By the time one had finished stabbing at it with the plastic straw in a fashion akin to Norman Bates, you'd end up wearing more than you drank :)... Stop Pearl and Dean comenrcial, and run main feature!

Ah, you bring back memories. In our Saturday matinée (they called it "Kiddie Matinée"), each week, one kid or another would open the side exit door to let their friend try and sneak in for free, which would, of course, let sunlight come flooding into the dark theater, making it impossible to see the screen. At this moment, the entire population of kids in the theater would erupt with the deafening chorus, "CLOSE THE DOOR!" It was total pandemonium. LOL As for the image, I love the patterns you have created here. (It is Ultrafractal, no?)It does look like the way that they bunch up the fabric in fancy theater curtains, and the spotlights are a perfect touch. Dave

My grandfather watched cartoons until he died at 85. Never a Saturday morning was missed. I love animated films myself to this day. Splendid creation and memory. Bunny

Beautiful coloring, very nicely done! And hey--don't worry about loving animated films! Both my husband and myself absolutely LOVE the Pixar movies, and own darn near all of them on DVD, not to mention being able to quote lines from a fair number of them! huge grin I don't ever want to grow up so much that I forget how to have fun, you know? Enjoy your animated films!
