Compare this with Raffaello's Scuola di Athene. See the rush? Everyone on the way to somewhere else, and in a big hurry. That was already what was behind Mark Twain's sardonic image of the Louvre on roller skates. Now the skylight, which is a reverse of the dome, is also rushing toward the floor.
