Description

This is my special friend. She and her four sisters ran across the road in front of a truck while following their mom. The truck and I stopped. The kittens ran one way and momma cat the other. An hour later all four feral kittens were retrieved from the bushes in front of our community water office. Of course the gal in the truck couldn't take any of them 'cause her Siamese Cat was too much of a loner! So you can guess where they ended up. That was last year beginning of June. We still have two of them. Sisters: Riki & Elizabeth! They were good traveling road kitties last summer. Every Sunday night we drove 2 hours to where the hubby was working and every Thursday we drove home for the weekend. Back and forth all summer long. Boy was I glad for summer to end! Riki likes to ride on my hobie mirage kayak (she's even fallen in a couple times and still wants to ride it) Me and my kitty Riki Elizabeth is our special needs kitty LOL she's a prissy princess cat with the longest bushiest tail I've ever seen... If I can ever get her to pose I'll post a pic of her. She is my daughter's kitty thru and thru! She enjoys the paddleboat LOL... yup she's fallen in as well. Tried jumping to the dock and missed ROFLMAO! Nina bless her heart didn't miss a beat. Jumped right in to save her. Forgot she had a leash and harness attached to her wrist. They belong together ;) hehe Elizabeth enjoying a ride on the Paddleboat So... Riki is now 10 months probably. All fixed and rabies shots. Loves to be outside exploring the lake shore. Well the other night she didn't come when hubby called her at 9pm. At 11pm she finally came in but was walking kinda funny. The next morning it was clear that something wasn't right. She'd been bitten by some critter. We got her to our vet and she's been on meds this week but thankfully seems ok so far. I'm being overprotective and taking her back in this afternoon though. She seems a little "off" to me. Anywho... that's kinda where my mind has been this week. That and hubby's got upcoming carpal tunnel surgery next week. I'm used to him being gone during the week. I'll have him home for 6 whole weeks. YaY me! ;-)
