Description

Well this a different version of an image I already posted here: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1838765 I recived some feedback and decided to render it from a different camera angle and lightning. I'm not too happy with the shadows though, I had a lot of problems with artifacts using AO and IBL, I solved most, but ended up with less shadows.

Nice action shot! I see what you mean about shadows: it could do with stronger ground shadows. Are you using Shadow Catch Only on the Poser GROUND plane? Also: it looks to me like your background image is being lit by your scene lights, giving that bloom and faded look. (If I'm wrong then please just ignore me). But if I'm right, you might improve this by turning off the Diffuse colour channel on the background prop and plugging the image into the Ambient Colour channel. That makes it 'self-lighting', and not affected by scene lights at all. You can control the brightness of the background image with the Ambient Value.
