Description
I just took this shot about 30 minutes ago about two miles from my house. it is a little blurry but I thought it turned out kind of cool and usally when I take a shot with the sun behind the image you can hardly make out anything at all. So I am kind of happy with this big beautiful bird. I hope everyone else likes it. Lizzi...

I've been sick for a bit, and missed a lot of shots. (I also want to get back to your earlier work too...all in time...) Blurry...well I'd imagine one would have to photograph birds-in-flight for a while to get them in perfect focus everytime. I think the shot is highly expressive, and the blur is minor to my eyes. You captured it with a bird leaving its perch (I assume it was on that post just before you shot it). And it's a fine and perfect moment. All that sky, and that lone pole/tree trunk make this all about a bird and the vast space it flies in. Very minimalist (another side to you, since you also do these teeming packed shots). And it has a real grace & elegance. Fine work.
