I started taking photos from an early age of 13 with a little Brownie Camera .....my passions are nature ,animals, floral and scenic views hoping to capture it all the beauty.. ...I currently use a Nikon D5000 and NIKON D 40... Nikkor 18 – 135 mm zoom 18- 200 mm VR lens  Nikkor 50mm F1.8 lens and a Nikor 60mm Macro lens ..... I use a Wacom Tablet . Apophysis , Ultra Fractal4 .. as well as PSP , Photoshop 7, Pixarra,  CS 2 and Lightroom 2 and other graphic programs for about 9 years ..I love all forms of art and photography ....I live in cape Breton . Canada, retired from Bell Canada  and am a volunteer for the Humane Society...working with the kittens from when they are born until they are adopted . I used to work with the dogs but many of the stronger ones pulled my back outÂ
thank you to everyone that looks at  and enjoy my photos :)

This is fun, you need to be patient. I remember years ago starting with a wide brim hat and seed on it - then put some sunflower seeds in my hand as the chickadees got brave. I do not have photos like these. Excellent Lu!

Oh Lu what a wonderful privilege for you to touch this wee beautiful birds!!!! Well done for taking the shots, as it must have been so difficult even to dare move at all - I love this pic so much. I remember looking at whaleman's shot too when he took a pic of a lovely bird on his hand. I would just love to be able to do this one day. take care Lu, hugs Jane xx
