Description

Looked around for a decent discworld, didn't find one. Modeled in 3d studio, rendered in vue, obviously work in progress, haven't even done texture mapping yet, still working on getting a terrain mesh that is small enough to load and still have adequate detail. This one is 50mb and, frankly, sucks. The turtle is still a long way down the road. Please, some one tell me about a decent existing one so I don't have to put myself through this...

Looks pretty good already, if you ask me. The only other graphic I've seen like this was in one of the Diskworld graphic novels, and I don't remember which one. Perhaps "The Last Hero."

I've done a couple of Discworlds (though not decent...;) Hang tight, I know where to find a sea turtle and elephant both at ...Content Paradise. They used to be freebies (one a week), but probably cost now. There's a wooly mammoth there as well, if I remember correctly. Only bad thing is that you have to at least have Poser 6, or you can't get stuff. Great start...can almost see Klatch from here...;)

Darn. Well, I'll keep plugging away. pakled, I'd say any discworld is by definition indecent.. I've actually got the elephants and maybe turtle (I'm not sure I can distribute the turtle) already lined up, the big thing (to me) was getting the landmass to look right without resorting to postwork; If I'm going to sink as many hours as I expect I'll have to into this to get it to where I can stand it, I'm going to have to release it as a freebie.
