Description
Dauntless torpedo bombers launch an attack on a Japanese battleship in the Pacific. Something a little different for me. Hope you like it.
Thanks for taking the time to comment, I appreciate it.

This is a cool looking aviation render. It's too bad that most of the Douglas Dauntless torpedo bombers got shot down is WWII. Nice whot.
Kyronimos
well composed war scene!

Nice atmospheric setting, although there wouldn't actually be a night attack. Looks like the crew of the Kongo class battlecruiser are asleep. Incidentally, these are Douglas Devastators, which were severely mauled early in the war. As soon as the Grumman Avenger became available in mid 1942 the Devestators were withdrawn. However, the Douglas Dauntless dive bombers served a long time alongside their replacements, Curtiss Helldivers.
