Description

I met a Canadian Rear Gunner a few years back during a cocktail party, The Sea Ranch, California. He had been wounded badly by a Me-110 that caught his Halifax in a spotlight over Munich. He said that from what he could see during his operations over Germany, he knew truly in his heart what hell looked like and most importantly smelled like.

Brilliant and a coincidence that I have posted a Bf110 Night Fighter only yesterday!! (See Gallery). Not the same as your fine example needless to say! Another really excellent job but I think black222 has mistaken a flaming engine for gunfire... Rob.

Terrific work - nice searchlight beams. Very subtle smoke effect from the explosion/fire.

Great image and a nice bit of added history to go with it. What a description.
