Hi, I'm Dave :^)
I've learned that Art is 5% inspiration and 95% perspiration! I started CGA as a hobby early 2004. This site is huge, so if you have seen any of my material, then thank you for taking the time.
BIO:I'm a widowed Electronics and Software design Engineer living in Southern California, about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
My late wife Robin.. passed in 2003 after 31 wonderfully married years, the last 7 of which Robin was in poor health. I miss my Babe so much...
I'm working with Poser5, Bryce5.5, Wings3D, PSP-10 and CorelPaint8.My mother (Elnor) is also on this site as Silkylady. If you get a chance, please drop by her gallery and see her work.
Finally, remember these words of wisdom:
1) Don't sweat the petty stuff and don't pet the sweaty stuff.2) If your only tool is a hammer then all your problems will look like nails.3) It's amazing what can be accomplished when one doesn't know what one can't do.4) Very few know how much one must know in order to know how little one really knows.5) Give a man fire and you heat him for awhile. Set a man on fire and he is heated for life.6) Complexity is a set of things that we figured how to do right, one built on top of the other, until failure is achieved.7) Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.8) Marriage is a place where you can be wrong in ways you never thought possible.9) If a man speaks his mind in a forest and no woman hears him.. is he still wrong?10) If at first you don't succeed, then cover up all previous attempts that failed.
Please enjoy your visit! Dave :^)(AKA: 'davidoblad','DLO')

This is terrific, outstanding, super cute and unique Dave. I like these critters. You have outdone yourself on this one. The animation, music, and background is out of this world. This is so damn cute, you can't help but laugh. Takes time to see and enjoy it all, but it's worth every bit of the wait. This turned out great. Nice clarity and depth. The lighting is perfect. Another Masterpiece. Huggs... Silkylady...

...ah, yes...'feed me simore...'Does any body remember the game 'Creatures' in the late '90's? this kinda reminds me of that late unlamented piece of...or a very dimented Furby...hey, ouch-stop with the fire-balls, already...

ROTFL! Yeah, I saw this when you posted it and didn't comment like a big dog. The animation and composite was really well done and the effects really made it come alive nicely! That was a very creative way to electrify the Spore and zap the snot out of him...I'll have to remember that trick when they knock on my door for rent! LOL! So sorry I haven't been around, but I think I wore out my welcome around here and found greener pastures for the big win. You and Silkylady have the best Easter ever...and don't forget the milk and cookies. (Whoops! Wrong holiday! LOL!)

I just woke up and looked at the animation and I am busting a gutt...this was so cute and so wonderfully done, the sound it made fit it so well...only a genius such as yourself could come up with all this and make it look so real, very well done Dave!

Wow, I never saw any of your animations before.. this is really cool. I love both the crazy dance, lighting, how he shakes is off and the entire composition. Thanks for your explanation on how you did it! Excellent work .. (BTW. That you did this in only 3 hours is fantastic, usually storyboardnin, animation work, sound editing, composition and final rendering can take weeks if not months depending on the contents). You seen to have a very good idea of how to utilize different tools to their best and then finding ways of combining the output. More please!
