Description
The background was made in Apophysis by a friend of mine (richter), the ship is pTurbine, a free resource, also by richter. From the Apohysis render, I created a medium resolution spherical panorama and a low resolution light probe. The panorama was mapped around a huge sphere and the bright parts made transparent. Panorama and HDRI were exactly aligned. The HDRI shines through the transparent parts and lights the ship. The darker parts of the panorama are lit by a radial.
