Q. What's your sign?
A. Taurus.
Q. Why are you so bitter?
A. I prefer to be called 'sardonic.' I'm a designer -- it's obligatory, just like wearing lots of black and complaining about the suits killing your latest Great Idea. We don't have time for the real answer to that question, though.
Q. Are you crazy? I've heard lots of artists are crazy.
A. No, I have a piece of paper proving I'm sane -- so long as I keep taking the four biege pills every day.
Q. Are you single?
A. No, I'm married to a New Zealander (which is strange in its own way, I suppose). See the gallery(www.pantagruel.net/gallery.html) for photos.
Q. How did you end up marrying someone from New Zealand?
A. Man, I'm sick of this question. First the INS, now you. We met on the Internet and became friends. Then we met in person and decided we were right for each other. It worked for us. Don't try this at home. Handing your lives over to the INS shouldn't be done lightly.
Q. But how did you know he wasn't an axe murderer?
A. He didn't know I wasn't an axe murderer either.
Q. What do you do for a living if not murdering people with axes?
A. I design pretty trash, both virtual and tangible. I also keep the office network of G4s going, and make stabs at coding when I have the time.
Q. Why pantagruel.net?
A. Because I don't get many chances to show off that I did graduate work in English, okay?
Besides, the usual way to show off is to get a Ph.D., and make people call you 'Doctor,' which is pretentious. I'd rather just make obscure literary allusions on occasion, which is elitist.
Q. Are you any good at this design stuff?
A. I keep getting paid, so I must be. I'm a member of the University & College Designers Association , and I've won several awards in the national Admissions Marketing Report annual design contests (The university designers' BIG contest. We have fights in our office over who gets to submit pieces).

Wow!!!!! who is this striking man, with the wind attempting to batter his sense of purpose? he seems like a vey bright symbol of some lost courage. i love it! :)
