So much to soak up when we arrive here. Does it ever stop? Do the colors every stop pouring into us? How sweet it is just to be, just to see, and taste, and touch. Life doesn't get much better than just existing. This one was initiated in the first month of our first born son. Those first weeks I watched closely at him, and thought about how he must think this place is so new, so amazing. He is really a character, full of life, and color. I loved watching him as he was held close to his mother. He's all grown up now: his birthday is at the end of the month. We are so lucky to have him in our lives, and am thankful he is healthy and happy. Okay, so he whines sometimes, but don't we all? This image is a mix of marker and colored pencil. The media rests on a 18" x 24" piece of Bristol paper. It took a bit over ten months to complete, and I enjoyed making it. I hope you enjoy taking a look at it.
