A Herring Gull trying to pass itself off as a Skylark although not very well lol, taken on a visit to Whitby today, some photo's of Stains ....oops Staithes to follow, thanks for viewing, Rob

Excellent DOF and rich colours. I love the clarity of the gull.. is he a vampire gull as he appears to have some blood dripping from his beak... maybe he got away from the haunting gulls of Stains ;) Perfect capture of the Skylark Mark II model ;)

Reading the comment above, I recognized Whitby, and there's Mr Stokers burialplace, is'nt it? That why this gull had blood on his beak! Wonderful capture any way! RS
