Description

What is a Blue Screen of Death? The Blue Screen of Death, or more properly the 'Windows stop message' occurs when Windows detects a problem or error from which it cannot recover. The operating system halts and diagnostic information is displayed on a blue screen. In newer versions of the operating system, the contents of the PC's memory are dumped to a file for later analysis. Let's take a moment to look at a BSOD in its natural environment, careful now, we don't want to startle it... Note the eye catching shade of blue intended to warn us of trouble, the detailed list of hexadecimal numbers, and relatively unhelpful 'tip.' This is the BSOD in all its glory, so be very afraid if you ever come face to face with this hideous creature! Text taken from :http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1647 Having seen a few hundert of these screens during my carreer as PC-Fuzzi, I just thought of making a scenery around a BsoD.. In here the Loiks manipulated the Bios of the mainframe, fumbling with the mem,and disabled the tempcontrol,so within the next 20 seconds the mainprocessor will blow to oblivion-hehehe. No way of getting in the bios from outside ,and no time to take the battery out and reset-heheh. Thats what I would call great sabotage. Ps-the Loiks acted on high order from Justitia because this mainframe belongs to organized crime. I told you we get them. A little inspiration came from stacey-aka-iceshark39 with the ebot issue-lol. Flash news: from 04.03.2009 I just had a BdoD no joke,it happens on this machine +- once a month in a special constellation. I work normally with quite a few progs at the same time,it is multitasking isnt it?? but with m in extreme-hih. 2 browsers open,I mail client,I webradio,1msn,antivir,firewall,antispy,eventually skype all in the background as well as antispy real time, besides all the hunderst of normal windows services wich nobody sees.-hee big brother big time.. So I think I know the reason. As I have a lot of passwords I bought roboform and I am very satisfield with since years, although their might be an issue with robo and firefox 3. When I log in first time of the day from the taskbar it crashes. When I go for example to renderosity in my browser and then log in all is fine, So I guess when roboform starts the default browser in my case firefox it gets to one adress in memory wich makes the crash.sounds logical to me,had this thought now under the shower-.hihi. . Ok 1x reboot eventually in safe mode, Then a cold restart after 5 minutes and no prob. I guess the pc needs a break sometime as we do. you have to treat it well. I even talk to my pcs. In the last 12 years I bought every 15 months a new machine, and then sold the other one,and so on. Now I just want my machines running and don¢ï¿½ï¿½t change anything they are all core 2 procesors so they will be fit for the next 3-5 years as well. I am busy with 3d no time to crap around. So there is still quite a few of my old Pcs running wich I maintain of course. So once in a while when I work on one of these I talk to them and I treat them well. Maybe I am a bit crazy but each pc is different, even if they come exactly at the same time out of the same oven all different like we. Ps.Whatever the politics of Microsoft,or whatever Bill Gates did or did not,is of no concern to me,but his road leaded to,that everybody nowadys can afford and work with a PC.it is that simple. And he visionned as well worldwide communication. I mean there are Macs,I know a bit about-pretty good Stuff, but I am a PC_junkie so that is it,20 years in pcs,and i do not feel for learning a Mac now as old farth-,besides I do nothing but graphics actrually.lol.. Anyway whatever OS or Hardware you use, happy rendering. No nudity cause the LOIK has finally clothes-lol thanks very much for the freebie Product Name: Loik Space Uniform *Copyright: 30th January, 2008 *By: Porthos

Ah, the beloved BSoD. Been a while since I've had one happen to me (and back when I was still relying on Windows 98SE, I was lucky enough to avoid them most of the time). Can't say I miss them too much. Ever seen a red one? Or a green one? I can't remember offhand what you need to do (or rather where exactly to go), but you can change the color. I did it once on a friend's computer, after getting tired of having to repeatedly clear out virii and other crap that had found its way there. I forced a Stop Error to happen and he was surprised to see a red screen instead of the usual "something's f'ed up blue". He promised to try to keep up with updates and running scans. Which he has. As far as I know.

I've had XP on this computer for the last 6 years and in that time I've had 1, count them 1 BSOD. and that was early on when I was shifting from 98SE to XP. Since then, I've jealously guarded my computer from other, prying fingers as well as having double firewall protection and keeping up with the updates, no matter how tedious and boring it may be. Great render and wonderful depiction of the BSOD! Faved

Ah, yes, the Blue Screen of DOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!! (we're heavily influenced by Adventure Quest and Artix Entertainment here, so we don't call it by the other 'd' word....that usually is reserved for when the hard drive burns up). Fantastic image and LOVE the little Starfleet Loik! Tell the Redshirts to watch out! They'll be the first to go!!
