Description

When you can't have what you want. You make do with what is given you. Trite perhaps, but in this case what else is a tree to do when spring is still a ways away. Snow leaves! What a concept. Blows away in the wind...just like the real things do at the end of the season. We took a break from photographing buffalo in the snow last saturday and went out to Shelby Forest where we hiked in the freshly fallen snow. The drive out there was a bit stressful even to this onced seasoned northern state inhabitant. Maybe if I had been less of a back seat driver? :) Was well worth every nail biting minute! Thanks for stopping by. Make it a great day!

Excellent shot. Snappy contrasts and a lot of interesting forms. A real attention grabber! It can be hard to get the right exposure and correct range of tones with snow pictures, but this one looks spot on.
