Description

Another view of this circuit board landscape. Lit with a standard incandescent bulb and a UV light. Standard postprocessing tweaks in Photoshop with a lessening of the blacks in levels in the background to create a realistic hazy appearance that one might expect to see in an actual cityscape.

That is one of the coolest things I've seen. I'm not just talking about the color, either. It really looks like a miniature city with skyscrapers and crossroads, alleys, streetlamps - etc. Well done and so clever, Kort!

Stellar lighting and shift-tilt focus work in this marvelous electronic panorama, Kort! An incandescent bulb emits blue light, but did you get a suntan/sunburn from the UV light?

There has to be more to the similarities between the architectures of cities & circuit boards than coincidence. It may have to do with either the specific pattern-creating circuity of our human brains or a similarity in the problems that both cities & circuit boards are designed to solve - something about the efficiencies of traffic flow (whether the traffic is made up of vehicles & pedestrians or electrons)...
