Continued from S3-2-9: Dregolath Xorn, slaver of Pan Tang. “I am sorry to disappoint you, but we have different plans for the next few months,” Syn sneered at Xorn, as he led the others through the now deceased demonic doors. The Mabden stood stunned for a moment, and then bellowed, “Guards!”, as he scrambled toward the far wall of the chamber, snatching his scimitar from its scabbard on the wall. “I’m afraid they will not be answering,” Rynard taunted, with a broad humorless smile. “They seem to have run into a small problem with every one of your slaves being released and finding the armory about an hour ago… It’ll take weeks to mop up all that blood!” “How?” Xorn stammered, looking to Nebi, who was to lead them into a trap when they tried to enter at fortress tomorrow. She had snuck out of their camp to report their plan to him just an hour ago; leaving them sleeping in the gorge a mile away. “You didn’t really think we’d trust this fake, did you?” Blade chimed in, raising Nebi’s chin with the flat of her dagger, as she twisted her arms bit higher, causing her to wince in pain. “A little too convent… Finding a local who just happened to know every secret way into your fortress and was willing to risk her life for the off chance we might kill you. Although the part about wanting you dead might be true now!” “I’m sorry master!” Nebi sobbed, much to Blade’s amusement. “Please forgive me!” “Your wards were not very difficult to overcome either,” Syn added in with clear arrogance. Barely able to believe that his entire operation had been destroyed by only three mercenaries, Xorn started to recover his composure, and advance toward Caterina. She was what they were after, and he could use her to his advantage. But Rynard was already moving toward the naked young woman, who sat in stunned shock at the unbelievable turn of events, while Syn stepped into the Mabden’s path. Mumbling a short incantation, Xorn’s eyes shown with a red gleam, as his witch sight spell revealed auras of uncommon power about Blade and Rynard, much stronger then that of his weak willed slave, Nebi, or the pampered noblewoman, Caterina, but Syn’s nearly eclipsed them all. Xorn had rarely encountered a sorcerer with greater power then his own; a few with in Pan Tang’s church of Chaos, but then he had never encountered a Dragon Lord before. His scimitar flared with demonic fire, as Xorn faced Syn, the fear of his greater power driving his rage. “I will see you suffer for what you’ve done!” he sneered with false bravado. But Syn’s only response was a flare in the cold blue hellfire that blazed behind his eyes, and the cruel smile that turned his lips, as he stood poses to strike. Then he caught sight of movement in the shadows by the huge, fur covered bed behind the Mabden, as another figure stepped forward into the light; a demonic beauty with dark horns, a deep red mane and a lush feminine form, displayed naked for all to see.
