Description

Shoreline as seen looking west from the Orient Point-New London Ferry approaching the ferry slip at New London, Connecticut. Usually would offset a light house like this but object here is the entire shoreline...and the lighthouse just happens to be at the dead center. LOL. Time was about 10am on a beautiful, cloudless day. Bill:-) Please be sure to zoom. Just don't get your feet wet. The lighthouse is called the New London Harbor Light and is the fourth oldest in North America.

Fantastic shot Bill! Would of liked to see the lighthouse a little closer and offset but you did a great job anyway! :)

Much serenity in this superlative shot, Bill! There is such vivid clarity and deep color in this far-off panorama, that the subject matter looks like a setting of models in a small pond. And how do you like Fred255's avatar?

A wonderful Panorama! And the lighthouse, I feel, needs to be dead centre! Gorgeous blue sky too! A great picture. Well done, Bill. Rob.

Beautiful panoramic view. Much more attractive than the old London :) The rich colours are wonderful and it looks so clean. I imagine that it would look very pretty at sunset too. Excellent photo.

whew—what a shimmering shot! Man, I go away and you post all these amazing shots...First, the clarity of hues is beautiful. Very crisp, and the blues are wonderful. Second, it's Connecticut all the way. The architecture, the lighthouse, even the light. (I know, that light could be other places too, but New England has a certain 'diffuse' light, even in the sun. Hard to describe, but I'd have thought NEngland even if you hadn't told us...) And third, that water is to die for. Wonderful shot. I'm skipping all around, but I'll be back. I got to see your pre-digital and digital work all in one morning: You really go back with the camera. This is wonderful...
