I love this shot for all that is in it.
The old miner’s bunkhouse is such a potent symbol of the greed and avarice that has brought ruin to our standard of living.
In the background is the mountain scared by overburden mining. It will never recover from the assault.
The foreground vegetation gives hope in the eternal cycle of renewal. Perhaps, some of us will survive.
