Description

I'm dedicating this render to Renderosity merchant Chikako, who has some very fine products at very reasonable prices. Do check out his store. Here's the link: http://market.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/index.php Thanks for dropping by and taking a look. Also thanks for all your previous comments. Jeremy CREDITS: Bryce 6.1, Poser 6.0, PSP 5.0. All buildings: from chikako's "Halfling Village" collection at Renderosity, to wit; the Inn, Market, Lighthouse, Dock, Glassblower, and Blacksmith. Packet: Most of it modeled in Bryce, but the hull and decks were created by Anthony Appleyard's freebie boat construction kit. I flattened the original hull to something approximating a riverboat hull. Wakes are by spacebones. Bags of grain are by Forester (Renderosity, http://www.expandingwave.com). The steam engine is the engine from the "Jungle Queen Safari Boat" by KuroKuma (DAZ). Same for the gin crates and bottles. Pilot: Apollo Maximus by Anton Kisiel, "El Captain" morphs and textures by ExprssnImg (Renderosity). Calves: morph and textures by Debra Ross (Vista Internet). Reeds: 2D alpha planes created by me from 3d objects by traveler(RDNA). Grain fields: "RDNA Fields - Volumetric Field Figures" also by Traveler. Trees: "Late Summer Deciduous Trees" by unknown.

Spacebones has a nice of water wake freebies that would improve the look of turbulance around the ferry. I think the sky would benefit from a re-think too. However, a nice scene alround and excellent distant mountains.

What I like about your images are that they are composed of full scenes from daily life or landscapes with something happening. I tend to create images of closeup one subject. I think people who can create an entire scene are great thinkers and I suspect you can probably play chess rather well. I am terrible at it. Please keep creating.

Great work Jeremy! Of course any food in that barge is unlikely to last all the way to the dock if there are hungry halflings aboard :-)

Love the countryside scenery facing the river front. I like your concept of a steamboat, with the cargo on the top deck, and a matching hi-rise docks to match. I've gotten behind and just have to catch up on all the new posted images :)
