A cold February morning A hat on the ground in front of him A guitar playing soft and slow I can’t help but wonder What’s going on inside your mind Are you lonely Do you need a friend Do you want a friend Were you ever in love Do you have someone at home Depending on you What events in your life Brought you here If you are gone tomorrow Will anyone care Will you care I thank you mister guitar man Not only for the music But for making me think I hope I see you tomorrow I saw this man a few days ago. When I did I couldn’t help but wonder all of the things I wrote in this poem. I have always been lucky. Every time I lost a job I seemed to have fallen into a better job but my whole life I have always felt like I am a simple twist of fate from being that man. If I am standing out with my hat on the ground reciting poems will anyone care. Will I care anymore. I don’t know. Anyway these are just the rants of a lonely poet.
