I agree about Wannes. He's an inspiration to me, too. I love this. Superb art work. The colors and characters are great, and I love those stamps. I look forward to soon catching up on all that I've missed here at your gallery.

Well another artist I'll want to check out. (Wannes.) (I like his explanation for infrequent posts...) A really fascinating piece with a logic that's utterly right within its frame, and almost inexplicable outside it, a true feature of surrealism and some fantasy. I love your central section, and recognize some of your favorite symbols, the hats, the 19th C. attire, the creatures with different heads (bird heads, here), old Egyptian and other near-east plaques, eyes on hands, etc. etc. The central woman looks like she's wearing a Socialist hat, what you'd see in the old Soviet guard, etc...then those postage stamps (azerbaijan?) with those ghost faces peering through, from some old Soviet cabinet of the 20s...fascinating mix, and it all somehow fits and I couldn't say why, except that I really like it.
